Darkman (1990)

Check out the new Darkman page on Set-Jetter.com

One of his first ventures into mainstream, Sam Raimi propelled Darkman into a comic-turned-reality.   Some of his signature camera moves are here already and while the effects work is not so great, it was probably on par the year it was released.

First and most important on my list was finding Peyton's loft.   Luckily I had some visual clues, including their first morning walk out here...

They round the corner onto this street... I didn't venture down it far for obvious reasons....

And here is the building itself....

The cemetery is featured in a couple of scenes, the first time during the funeral....

Darkman watches and approaches Julie going to her apartment here....

One of my favorite finds is the manhole-death scene featuring Ted Raimi....

The deli.....

And the buildings seen in the background from the deli....

Back to the cemetery for more fun with Julie...

The LA courthouse....

The alleyway to Darkman's lair is gone as is the abandoned factory itself....

Here is a street seen in the helicopter scene...

It wasn't too hard to find McKenna Boiler Works....

Smashing into the tunnel....

During the final scene, Julie looks for Darkman at this intersection....

A long line of many cameos for Bruce Campbell....
